Fast Friday Layout

Today's layout is another one for my Lighthouse Scrapbook.  It's been great reliving all of our lighthouse adventures.  We just went on another one this weekend!  This one is from 2012.

In true Fast Friday fashion, this layout came together super quick.  The secret to it not looking like it went together effortlessly is all the layering.  The striped paper was cut down to 11 1/2 x 11 1/2 and mounted on a 12 x 12.  A small piece of DSP was mounted and attached; the two pictures were mounted full size and attached.  The bottom left corner image is the background image from the You've Got This  set and the lighthouse was simple die cut (it's a Dave's Die that coordinates with SU's From Land to Sea).  I simply added definition with black marker and applied some gray ink around the edges.  That was mounted and two buttons were added.  The title was typed on my computer and cut out with the  Banners thinlits and mounted. I also printed out the year an punched it out with the small oval punch and attached it to a small piece of scrap from and mounted.  The final addition was the ribbon along the bottom -- which was added simply because I needed to cover up an "oops".  Clean cuts and lots of simple mounting make the layout look like it took a lot more time than it did.

Cardstock:  Pacific Point, Whisper White
DSP:  Schoolhouse
Stamp Set:  You've Got This
Ink: Real Red

Give it a try - simply layer, layer, layer and your layout will look great!

Happy scrappin'!
