Look Who's Turning Two

I made this birthday card for a precious little girl celebrating her 2nd birthday.  I thought this card captured her personality perfectly. I decided to go with colors from the Brights Collection because this little girl can light up a room with her beautiful, bright smile!

The base of the card is Melom Mambo; the middle layer is Daffodil Delight; and the card front is Whisper White.  The word phrase is from the Number of Years set and is stamped in Melom Mambo.  The number is cut from the Large Numbers thinlits in Melon Mambo. The balloons are from the Balloon Celebration set -- the balloons are Daffoddil Delight, and the strings  are Smokey Slate.  The yellow pearls are some that I had in my stash that I thought worked well on the card.  The ribbon is some retired Melom Mambo.  Easy peasy card to make!

Bright and Cheery Thank You Cards

I recenltyneeded to send two special ladies a thank you card for their sweet kindness toward my mother, and I wanted something that was bright and cheery.  Once I was done withh them, I decided to modify the cards a bit and make them into smaller thank you notes as my January Customer Thank You cards.  This is what I came up with.

I made an instructional video for the projects as well.

Country Livin' Watercolor Birthday Cards

This card is one that we did at a recent class using the new Watecolor Pencils and a blender pen.  Below the picture is a video explaining how it was done.  The technique is very easy, and makes anyone look like an artist!

Never Ending Thank You Card -- A2 size

As a follow up to yesterday's post, this is a smaller version of the Never Ending Card.  It is A2 size so it fits in a standard card envelope.  This one was made as a Thank You for a gardener, so I used the Gifts from the Garden stamp set.  Although it's a bit more difficult to make because of the measurements (and the pursuing fractions!),  and the smaller decorating space, it's still a WOW card that will surely make its recipient smile!

Please check out the video below for directions.

Never Ending Birthday Card

This is the card we made at this weekend's card class.  It's called a Never Ending Card because is never stops opening.  I've also heard it called an Infinity Card or a Forever Card.  I've linked my YouTube video below the pictures so you can see how it was made.

These are such fun cards to make and they're quite impressive!  I hope you'll give it a try!

Beach Scene Using Watercolor Pencils

This is a second card we made at the watercolor pencil class last weekend.  It came together so easily and has such a sense of calm and peace!  There's a video below the picture with instructions on how to make this card.

Watercolor Pencil Floral Birthday Card

I'm loving the new watercolor pencils in the Occasions catalog.  I held a card class last weekend and this is one of the cards we made.   We made three cards using three different techniques with the pencils.  For this one, we  used the pencils with an aqua painter.

The flowers are stamped using Black Memento Ink, then outlined using the Rich Razzleberry watercolor pencil.  I also ran the pencil oer the shaded part of the flower's petals.  Using an aqua painter, I then "pulled" the colors from the outline and the shading to color the leaves.  The sentiment is from the Rose Wonder set and is stamped using Rich Razzleberry.
