Eastern Palace Vinyl Cards

I'm just loving the Eastern Palace Bundle --  especially the stickers.  When I first saw that stickers were included in the bundle, I was a bit skeptical because I'm so NOT a sticker person.  These stickers are actually vinyl stickers --thick and sturdy -- and beautiful! As a bonus, if they're used with window sheets, they can be either gold OR silver!  Watch the video below to see how one design was transformed into two different cards using these stickers.

To Think of You is to Smile

This is one of the cards we made at the Eastern Palace card class last weekend.  Of all the cards that were designed and made, this is my favorite!  It was so simple to make yet it looks like a piece of art!

I cut a small piece of  DSP from the bundle and attached it along the left.  Then I die cut the flower using two of the nesting dies and attached them on the card as shown.  I stamped the bursts in Lemon Lime Twist into the dips of the flower to make the circular design around it.  Lastly, I stamped the sentiment in Fresh Fig in the bottom corner.

I used the Eastern Palace Premier Bundle to make this, but if you haven't gotten your bundle yet (available until May 31), all the items will be availabe individually when the new catalog goes live on June 1.

Waterfall Birthday Cards

These Waterfall Cards are just so much fun to make -- and to receive.  I recently needed two birthday cards so I decided to make each of the birthday ladies a waterfall card.  There is a video at the end of the post to show you how the lemonade card was made.

This card was made for a very "sweet" lady, so I thought lemonade was perfect for her!  I did use some retired products (Schoolhouse DSP and  Garden Gingham Washi Tape) for this project.

This  one was made for a wine lover so, of course, the glasses of wine were perfect for her!

Masculine 50th Birthday Card

Masculine cards are sometimes tough, but this one came together pretty easily for me (for a change!)

The cardbase is Thick Whisper White; the middle layer is Basic Black; and the card front is Whisper White.  I made the background by stamping the Diagonal Stripe background stamp in Delightful  Dijon (which is retiring next week.

The square was made using the beer mug from the Mixed Drinks stamp set.  I stamped it in Basic  Black and colored it in using  Delightful Dijon  Stampin Write markers.  I made a mask of the mug and then stamped "Cheers", also fromthe Mixed Drinks set, to make the background.

I die cut the "50" using the retired Little Numbers thinlits and mounted them on circles punched with circle punches.

I added the banner, and that was it!

I'm happy to answer any questions you have about this project.

Sunshine Wishes Wedding Card

I needed another wedding card, so I made this one using the Sunshine Wishes Thinlits.  (They coordinate with the Sunshine Sayings stamp set).  This card could not have been easier to make!

The hearts were die cut from Silver Glimmer paper and then tied together using some Real Red Ribbon.  The "love" was die cut from Red Glimmer paper.  Those pieces were all mounted on Whisper White cardstock, which was mounted onto Real Red cardsstock and then onto Thick Whisper White.  Voila!  Done!

Rose Wonder Wedding Card

I've had the Rose Wonder stamp set for a while now and hadn't gotten around to using it.  So when I needed a wedding card, I thought I'd dust it off and play.  This card came together really quickly -- my favorite kind of card!

The base is Thick Whisper white, and the front is  Smokey Slate.  I cut the rose out using the coordinating Rose Barden thinlits in Gold Foil, then I mounted it on Real Red.  I added a couple rhinestone jewels to add a bit of bling.  The sentiment was stamped using Versamark and embossed using Gold Embossing Powder.
