Embossed Daisy Thank You

I'm really loving this new Daisy Delight stamps set.  (Can you tell by all my posts about it ?!)  This card is another super quick and easy project.

This is one of those designs that can be added to in so many small ways to take it up a notch -- add some small green leaves scattered througout; add some Wink of Stella on the petals of the daisies; add some rhinestones in the centers of the daisies, etc.  I chose to make it minimalistic so that it is easy to envision the little extra things you can do to the basic design.

Happy Graduation

I made this card for a special young lady whom I have watched grow up since she was a toddler. She's a motivate young lady who has a very bright future ahead!

The stamp set used for this card is the Beautiful You set, whch I just love!  I stamped the graduate using Memento Black and colored her in using Pacific Point Watercolor Pencil.  Her skin was colored using the Calypso Coral Watercolor Pencil. The graduation cap is made using a 1/2 square of Pacific Point Paper and raised with a Stampin' Dimensional.  The tassel ws stamped using Daffodil Delight.  The image is from the retired Celebrate Today set.  I had to cut it down to make it the right size.  The diploma was made by cutting thee stick from a Q tip -- a great tip I got from one of my customers.  I tied a piece of gold embroidery floss around it for some more dimension.

After I stamped and assembled the graduate, I mounted it on a piece of Night of Navy cardstock die cut using a scalloped square from the Layering Thinlits Framelits.

The paper is Night of Navy, Pacific Point and Whisper White.  The "celebrate" was heat embossed using Versamark Embossing Ink and some clear Embossing Powder.  Finally, I tied bit of Whisper White Stitched ribbon.

I hope she likes it!

Happy Stampin'!

Daisy Week Day 4: Field of Daisies

Today's daisy card is basically the same as the Day 2 card, but with a simple change in flower design, the card takes on a different look. I decided to make the daisies smaller and "lighter" and place them in a field of grass.

I stamped the two-step daisies in Daffodil Delight for both layers and made the grass by stamping off so it would be lighter than the daisy stems.

Daisy Week Day 3: Bright Daisy Thank You

Welcome to Day 3 of Daisy Week.  Today's card is special to me because it uses the colors that I decorated my younger daughter's first "big girl room".

Daisy Week Day 2: Sunflower Birthday Card

I've always loved sunflowers and how they turn to face the sun throughout the day.   So, it was natural that I would use the new Daisy Punch to make some beautiful sunflowers!

This card came together in less than ten minutes!  To see how it was done, check out this video:
